Leslye Alexander

Strengthened by a foundation in classical training, I work intuitively and find inspiration in my environment. Originally from Connecticut, I now split my time between New York City and Delray Beach—the perfect places to find that inspiration. Traveling back and forth between Florida's lush tropical life and NYC’s pulsating iron and steel energy provides an endless font of creativity. For me, that manifests as mixed media, collage and monoprint.

 

I have an Associate in Art from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the State of New York. My art has appeared in juried shows (Connecticut Public Television, New Haven’s Historic District, Celebrating Women’s History Month, the Aetna Institute Gallery, The Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts) and has been exhibited in private and corporate collections.
